Job Summary
Exegy is seeking a Web Developer to join our engineering team in building, enhancing, and maintaining our client portal and web-based platforms.
In this role, you will focus on crafting responsive user interfaces, developing API integrations, and improving front-end performance so global clients can seamlessly interact with Exegy’s services. You’ll also contribute to Exegy’s broader evolution toward delivering more products and capabilities through modern web experiences. Working alongside senior engineers, Product, and Client Services, you’ll help translate complex platform capabilities into intuitive, production-ready web solutions while identifying practical opportunities to incorporate AI into both customer workflows and the software development process.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain responsive, client-facing portal features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks
Develop backend services, RESTful API integrations, and data connections using Python or Node.js
Turn wireframes, user stories, and product specifications into accessible, high-performing web pages and interface components
Help translate complex platform capabilities, APIs, and technical workflows into intuitive, customer-facing web product experiences
Contribute to scalable web patterns and development practices that support future web-based products and capabilities
Partner with senior engineers and Product to implement AI-enabled features and workflows where they can improve the customer or developer experience
Write clean, testable code and expand automated unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing suites
Participate in active code reviews, sprint planning, and front-end design discussions
Diagnose and resolve client-side UI bugs, cross-browser issues, API integration failures, and performance bottlenecks
Support CI/CD deployment workflows and maintain clear technical documentation for web components and workflows
Partner cross-functionally to refine requirements and continuously optimize user experience
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
Professional experience building, shipping, and supporting production web applications
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with hands-on experience using modern front-end frameworks; React strongly preferred
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and connecting backend web services
Experience with Python, including FastAPI or Flask, or Node.js for server-side development
Solid understanding of core web standards including HTML5, CSS3/SASS, DOM manipulation, and responsive design
Familiarity with relational databases, Git, automated testing frameworks, and modern web deployment pipelines
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and an interest in using AI to improve development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and technical analysis
Strong troubleshooting skills and an eager, collaborative approach to problem-solving
Ability to independently own features or well-defined technical workstreams within production applications
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and nontechnical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with React, TypeScript, and Vite build tooling
Experience with Python and FastAPI
Experience developing B2B SaaS interfaces, enterprise portals, or client dashboards
Familiarity with web application security including OAuth, JWT, and CORS, and performance optimization
Background or interest in fintech, capital markets, or market-data technology
Experience integrating AI-enabled services or workflows into business applications
Experience working within globally distributed engineering teams
