Enterprise Network Engineer
At Evri, technology is at the heart of delivering millions of parcels across the UK every week. We're looking for an Enterprise Network Engineer to join our Network team, helping design, implement and support the critical infrastructure that keeps our business connected.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced networking professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading infrastructure improvements and shaping the future of a large-scale enterprise network environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy and support enterprise network solutions across the Evri estate.
- Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and technical issues.
- Implement network changes and configurations in line with security and industry best practices.
- Act as a Network SME, contributing to technical strategy, architecture and future roadmaps.
- Lead network infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects from design through to delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and third-party partners to successfully deliver projects.
- Support the expansion of operational sites, ensuring WAN, LAN and wireless services are implemented effectively.
- Use monitoring and security tools to proactively identify risks, performance issues and service improvements.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement through Problem Management and Service Improvement activities.
- Provide 3rd line support and technical expertise for business-critical services.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Travel to sites across the UK to support network deployments, upgrades and troubleshooting activities.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience working in a Network Engineer or similar infrastructure role.
- Cisco CCNA qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting and managing enterprise Cisco networking environments.
- Knowledge of Cisco technologies including Firepower, DNA Centre and Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Experience managing and supporting LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi networks.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and network security best practices.
- Experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects and managing competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cisco CCNP certification and experience with Cisco Umbrella or ThousandEyes would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
