Job Description

Position Summary: Maintain complex building mechanical systems.  This is an advanced position intended to focus on corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, and project design/management.  Opportunities will be available to further expand knowledge base through external training and cross functional project coordination.  Complete all assigned work in a timely manner and respond to emergency situations as they arise.

  • Work in a dedicated mechanical team as a subject matter expert in at least one area of focus
  • Maintain mechanical equipment across the campus, providing preventative and corrective support as necessary 
  • Demonstrate leadership and training for less experienced members of the team
  • Meets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration 
  • Effectively communicates with external vendors and contractors as applicable to request quotes and/or complete projects
  • Learn and perform routine and non-routine duties independently to execute with minimal guidance
  • Diagnose problems and suggest possible solutions
  • Keep abreast of current developments and trends in professional area
  • Understand technical knowledge or skills not easily or quickly learned on the job
  • Demonstrate and maintain awareness of innovations and progress in respective field(s)
  • Assist with projects in a timely manner
  • Install new equipment and repair minor to critical campus equipment.
  • Assist with projects and respond to emergent repairs.
  • Administer preventative maintenance
  • Give general assistance to supervisor
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff members
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Advanced knowledge of Mechanical experience in one of the mentioned fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or a closely related experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
