About this role
Synopsis
To provide support to the Aircraft Engineer and perform preparation and painting activities in base maintenance and/or workshops on aircrafts and components.
Accountabilities
- Make sure safety precautions are understood and complied with, before starting the job.
- Carry out instructions of the lead man of the group assigned by the Supervisor / Engineer.
- Make sure that the equipment used for the job is safe (such as steps, ladders, man lifts, tools... etc.)
- Responsible to their immediate supervisor for :
- Carry out repairs of Aircraft Paint within the limitations of his trade authorization and under the supervision of an engineer.
- Carry out modification in accordance with the engineering orders’ instructions or manufacturer’s service bulletins under direct supervision.
- Assisting Engineer while carrying out minor / major Paint Repairs.
- Assisting Crew Chief in demanding required spare parts and material through the use of the computer system.
Education & Experience
- Formal basic aircraft maintenance paint training or equivalent
- Background in Aircraft – Exterior & Interior Painting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in aircraft Painting Exterior & Interior.
- Awareness of Good Housekeeping; Spoken and written English; Knowledge and use of Manuals; Awareness of Health & Safety; Human Factors, Documentation and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
