$21–$33/hr based on experience + up to $2,500 sign-on bonus + $2,500 relocation bonus for experienced candidates

Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced Cardiology Veterinary Technician to join our specialty team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cardiologists while supporting advanced diagnostics, procedures, anesthesia, and patient care in a newly renovated and expanded hospital.
If you are a CVT, LVT, or RVT with a strong foundation in veterinary medicine and an interest in cardiology, this position offers meaningful opportunities to build your specialty skills alongside an experienced team.
Compensation
$21–$33 per hour, depending on experience
Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus for experienced candidates

Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Full-time schedule
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary Veterinary Technician supporting the cardiologist(s) with daily patient care, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Obtain and document patient histories, treatments, and diagnostics in EzyVet
Become proficient in EzyVet and SmartFlow within 30 days
Manage department voicemail, client callbacks, and accurate client communication documentation
Assist with cardiology examinations, treatments, diagnostic studies, echocardiography, and invasive procedures
Support patient care planning and prepare patients for the perioperative period
Review estimates with clients and provide clear education regarding procedures and treatment plans
Fill patient medications and assist with medication and treatment preparation
Maintain clean exam rooms and restock surgical suites and supplies
Utilize technical skills including phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiography, in-house laboratory testing, pharmacology, medication and fluid administration, oxygen administration, and fluoroscopy
Provide compassionate, professional, and respectful communication with clients and team members
Qualifications
Current LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure required
Minimum of 1 year of veterinary hospital experience
Strong foundational knowledge of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes
Broad technical skills in areas such as phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiographs, in-house laboratory testing, pharmacology, medication and fluid administration, oxygen administration, and fluoroscopy
Strong attention to detail and accurate medical record documentation
Compassionate, patient, professional, and kind approach to client communication
Comfortable working collaboratively with veterinarians and other Veterinary Technicians in a specialty setting
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
