Job Title: Training Manager
Location: Greenwood, SC: Solar Cell Manufacturing
Reports to: Senior HR Manager (solid line) & GM of Operations (dotted line)
Job Scope:
The Training Manager is responsible for the end-to-end skills needs assessment execution, development of a plan, and facilitating implementation for management of all workforce training. This role ensures that both exempt and non-exempt employees possess the Process technical proficiency, Safety compliance, product Quality, and operational knowledge required to thrive in a high-volume solar cell manufacturing environment. This position delivers training leveraging internal and external expertise in a productive manner. You will serve as the primary architect for training plans, bridging the gap between current skill levels, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Skill Needs Assessments & Planning
- Needs Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments toidentifycompetency gaps across all facility levels.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner withmanagers, supervisors, and engineersto align training with plant KPIs and ISO standards.
- Strategic Roadmaps: Develop andmaintaina facility-wide training plan that includesfunctionalcontribution training, specialized technical skills, andcertifications.
2. Management-Level Training (Leadership & Compliance)
- Supervisor Onboarding: Design andfacilitatetransition programs for new supervisors to ensure they understand production workflows and safety leadership.
- Charter 3 Level Management training: Design and implement a3-tierlevel program to train and develop1st, 2nd, and 3rdlevel managers toward improved overall effectiveness
- Performance Mentoring: Train management in coaching techniques, "train-the-trainer" best practices, and effective performance auditing.
- Compliance Leadership: Ensure leadership is updated on the latest OSHA regulations, ISOrequirement,andSolar industry standards(awareness of product and process).
3. Hourly-Level Training (Technical & Operational)
- Technical Onboarding: Frequently assesshands-on training fornew hires
- On-the-Job (OJT) Support: Deliver assessmentsand review outcome to improve training materialsby partnering with Trainers to verifyclassroomunderstandingon the floor.
- Cross-Training: Identifygapsacross shifts for exempt and non-exempt training compared to the sitetraining plan
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Records Management: Maintainaccurate, audit-ready training registers and matrices using a Learning Management System (LMS)or equivalent.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitortraining feedback and benchmark against Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to refine instructionalor trainingmaterials.
- Site BCPCoordinator: Formulate, review,and implement BCP for ESF.
- Establishment of a PDCA thought process
- IMS (IntegratedManagement System) compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001are integrated
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Human Resource Managementand/or Organizational Development
- Manufacturing cross-functionaltrainingexperience for more than8years
- Multi-cultural work environment

- Strong systems thinker and able to lead groups of people atdifferent levelsfor training and capability building
- High Performanceteam development (all levels)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiencyin MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong presentation skills
- Train the Trainer
- Customer focused
- Self-starter with strong workethics, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication(both written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledgeof ISO and regulatory standards
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work with cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions:
- Predominantly stationed at a desk and/or in theadministrationtraining facilities or management offices.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to25% of theworkdayas required by leadership
- Wear the requiredPPEall times while in the manufacturing area, when required by leadership.Other personal protective equipment isrequiredas departmental policies or job/tasksdictate.
