About this opportunity:

We are now looking for Head of AI & Automation reporting into the Head of Cloud Software Services (CSS) Business Strategy & Program Office in Market Area Americas. Are you interested? In this role you will lead our team to drive AI and automation initiatives are strategically aligned to CSS priorities, deliver measurable value and are executed with strong governance and cross-functional collaboration. The role acts as the single point of contact for MACS CSS into cross-organizational AI and automation forums.

What you will do:

  • CSS AI Funnel Management – manage funnel of all CSS AI use cases in collaboration with CSS domain teams. Quantify and track value (cost, quality, speed, NPS), ensuring clear KPIs, transparent reporting, and deliver executive ready material as needed. Serve as a single point of contact representing MACS CSS towards other forums (i.e MACS AI Hub, BA, Cross MA, SDU)
  • AI Design Governance & strategy: govern across the funnel, identify roadblocks/resolutions, align on common architectures, patterns, and review gates (with alliance from SA SPOCs), increasing solution reuse and quality while reducing delivery risk and time-to-value for Americas CSS.
  • Drive Automation adoption: Promote CI/CD adoption & best practices across solution areas and ensure a building block to be leveraged and built upon for AI/Agentic frameworks through practical use cases and requirements. Drive High Value asset adoption via Program Office to ensure these are adopted in programs in collaboration with the SA’s
  • Drive flow automation within Business Ops & Program office by leading discovery, prioritization, and delivery of high-impact automation and AI use cases, from PoC and pilots to scaled, industrialized solutions in collaboration with other units such as finance, sourcing, CU Ops
  • Promote Hackathons & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct hackathons & knowledge sharing to surface, track, and industrialize ideas from concept to production, increasing innovation velocity and transparency across Americas CSS.

The skills you bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in telecom, technology, or services, with strong background in Service Delivery, operations, or managed services.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional automation and/or AI initiatives from idea to scaled deployment in live operations.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Software & Services portfolio and of automation/AI concepts and tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills in a matrix environment across Market Area, Customer Units, and central units.
  • Ability to lead in ambiguity and drive the team with targeted priorities leading to impactful results
  • Experience leading small teams or virtual programs and building data-driven, continuous improvement ways of working
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing with ability to drive decisions within organization
  • Acting with integrity and drive ethics and compliance adherence throughout the organization
  • Customer and market insights
  • Knowledge of the sales process

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. 

Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
