Senior Sales Specialist
About this role
Join our team in Sydney and play an integral part in driving growth and managing value within Equifax's D&B portfolio. As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will work within a diverse and multi-skilled team, with the key objective of protecting, expanding, and optimising our corporate client accounts.
In this critical, high-impact role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between our key corporate clients and our advanced technology solutions, acting as a consultative advisor to design and close complex business deals. This role is pivotal in delivering the new product suite available through our partnership with Dun & Bradstreet.
What you’ll do
Strategic Account Management & Commercial Growth: Manage key client relationships, support the Commercial Sales team, and actively develop a healthy sales pipeline to negotiate and close those commercial deals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, solutions consultants, and IT to deliver tailored D&B products, data solutions, and services.
Continuous Improvement & Market Insight: Identify process and strategy gaps, drive customer-oriented service improvements, and feed back market and competitor insights to the product team to help shape future innovation.
Service Standardisation: Support the development of standardised service levels and bespoke client solutions across our D&B portfolio.
Customer Data: Provide insight to the Product and Marketing teams on product and service innovation and client expectations.
Business Reviews: Contribute to the development of strategic Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate ongoing value and uncover new commercial pathways.
What experience you need
Sales & Deal Execution: 3 to 5 years of business-to-business (B2B) account management, sales, or solution sales experience with a proven track record of meeting targets and closing commercial deals.
Industry & Risk Awareness: Solid background, exposure or practical understanding of commercial risk practices, commercial data, or relevant industry frameworks (e.g., privacy and commercial verification processes).
Client Services: Strong background in corporate client services, client performance management, or enterprise account management.
Relationship & Trust: Proven ability to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and develop long-term relationships with a diverse group of personnel.
Autonomy & Drive: A self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently, take initiative, and drive commercial outcomes.
Communication & Influence: Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and persuasion skills paired with strong written, oral, and presentation communication.
Analytical Mindset: Strong data literacy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to project-manage initiatives.
