About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement activities for direct materials and production-related components.
- Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers in alignment with business requirements and sourcing strategies.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams during new product introduction, engineering changes and supplier qualification processes.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery and service, and drive corrective actions where required.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, supplier development and strategic sourcing activities.
- Analyze purchasing data, market trends and commodity developments to identify opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards and applicable regulations.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials or a related discipline).; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in direct purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in white goods, commercial refrigeration, automotive or other high-volume manufacturing industries is considered an advantage.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and supplier management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced MS Office applications.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing processes and cost structures.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment.
