About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials, components and production-related goods to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage import and export documentation in compliance with applicable customs regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers and relevant authorities.
- Prepare, review and maintain shipping, customs and transportation documentation accurately and on time.
- Plan and monitor international and intercompany material transfers between manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers to optimize transportation performance.
- Maintain close communication with logistics teams across other manufacturing locations to ensure smooth execution of material transfers.
- Track shipments proactively and resolve transportation or customs-related issues to minimize operational impact.
- Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely system transactions and proper documentation.
- Participate in logistics improvement initiatives aimed at reducing lead times, transportation costs and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies as well as local and international trade regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations or customs processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, international transportation and import/export documentation.
- Experience in coordinating international shipments and intercompany transfers.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices is considered an advantage.
