About this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials, components and production-related goods to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage import and export documentation in compliance with applicable customs regulations and company procedures.
  • Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare, review and maintain shipping, customs and transportation documentation accurately and on time.
  • Plan and monitor international and intercompany material transfers between manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers to optimize transportation performance.
  • Maintain close communication with logistics teams across other manufacturing locations to ensure smooth execution of material transfers.
  • Track shipments proactively and resolve transportation or customs-related issues to minimize operational impact.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely system transactions and proper documentation.
  • Participate in logistics improvement initiatives aimed at reducing lead times, transportation costs and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies as well as local and international trade regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations or customs processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, international transportation and import/export documentation.
  • Experience in coordinating international shipments and intercompany transfers.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices is considered an advantage.
