Retail Gift Shop Associate
About this role
Job Duties:
- Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Develop strong knowledge of retail merchandise, spa products, wellness offerings, apparel, and resort-branded items.
- Assist guests with purchases, exchanges, and special orders.
- Support promotional events, seasonal merchandising initiatives, and retail sales goals.
- Knowledgeable of all Resort events, offerings and activities.
- Knowledgeable of all town and surrounding area special events and activities.
- Follow accurately all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
- Accurately process transactions through the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain attractive product displays and merchandising standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment and assist with inventory counts.
- Ensure the retail space remains clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times including dusting, vacuuming and trash removal.
- Collaborate with spa, guest services, and resort teams to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Stay informed about new products, trends, and resort offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, spa, or luxury service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and create meaningful guest interactions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a resort environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale system experience preferred.
- Ability to stand frequently for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be 18 years or older.
