Position Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations for the park's cabins, bathhouses, laundry areas, and common spaces. This role involves both supervisory duties and hands-on cleaning. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and able to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This is a seasonal position that runs through October 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
- Oversee a small housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, and daily task assignments
- Inspect cabins, restrooms, and common facilities to ensure cleanliness meets resort standards
- Provide coaching and support to team members to improve efficiency and quality
Housekeeping Operations
- Clean and prepare cabins between guest stays, including linens, surfaces, kitchens, and bathrooms
- Maintain cleanliness of bathhouses, laundry rooms, and common areas
- Restock linens, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishment
Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping
- Ensure quick turnaround of cabins for check-ins
- Help maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure staff follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately
- Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physically active tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

This is a full-time, Seasonal position working at Jellystone Park Petoskey located in Petoskey, MI. Flexible scheduling required including weekends and holidays.
