Your Impact

As part of the Data Engineering team, you’ll help operate, maintain, and expand Entain’s corporate data warehouse. You’ll contribute to improving the capability, performance, reliability, and quality of the data platform.

You’ll take ownership of development tasks, identify opportunities to optimise existing processes, and actively contribute ideas that make the way we work more efficient. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll deliver practical, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment where timeliness and responsiveness are important.

This role is suited to someone who is curious, eager to learn, and motivated by the opportunity to work across a broad range of data engineering challenges.

A Day in the Life

• Own and optimise the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring strong performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver practical data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across a variety of data sources.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use modern engineering tools and AI-enabled practices to enhance the way we build and support data solutions.
• Support testing frameworks, version control, and collaborative development practices.
  

Your Strengths

• Strong SQL- you can write and optimize stored procedures and functions confidently.
• Solid experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Data warehousing and dimensional modelling fundamentals (Kimball or similar).
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, ideally with a tool like Matillion.
• Comfortable working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).
