The Role and Responsibilities

EnerMech are currently looking for a Lifting Equipment Technician to join our busy Rigging & Lifting workshop in Aberdeen. This is a permanent onshore role within our Equipment Rental Business Line. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the service, repair & test of rigging & lifting equipment and to assist in carrying out the inspection, and recertification of company owned and client equipment. Other main duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Responsible for inspection, service, repair & test of all rigging & lifting equipment in accordant with in-house procedures, LOLER Regulations and authority matrix
  • Responsible for examination of new lifting accessories and unique identification number prior to supply
  • Responsible for performing function tests & loads tests as required
  • Responsible for providing support for other workshop staff as required
  • Responsible for ensuring workshop is kept clean & tidy and all company equipment is kept in good order

The Requirements

To be successful for this position you will have previous experience in a mechanical role. You will ideally have experience with the inspection, service, repair & test of all rigging & lifting equipment and have good knowledge & understanding of LOLER Regulations and LEEA Guidelines. Air Hoist experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates don't necessarily need to have worked in the Oil and Gas industry, they may have worked in another industry for example the automotive industry and have transferable skills.
