Summary
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be part of the Israel asset team with focus to develop the understanding of the subsurface reservoir characteristics, in-place hydrocarbons and technical reserves of the company’s development, appraisal and further exploration activities to facilitate in optimizing daily production and future development planning.
Provide reservoir engineering capability throughout the field development planning process including assessment of the recovery mechanism, reserves and uncertainty analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Generating and updating of various reservoir models, integrating legacy and recent well data and production data.
- Managing fluids analysis (PVT) programs and incorporating results into the subsurface work.
- Updating the EoS model based on new fluid samples.
- Network modelling to reflect the SURF and FPSO constraints.
- Ensure risks, uncertainties and upside potential are incorporated into the decision-making process.
- Provide input to the reservoir development and management strategy, including contributions to field development plans.
- Actively participate in well planning and associated data acquisition programme.
- Lead well start-up procedures for new production wells.
- Evaluate development scenarios, reserve profiles, and profitability on existing properties and/or exploration projects.
- Mentor and supervise the reservoir team and transfer knowledge to the organization as a whole.
- Technical input to Energean’s corporate business processes including reserves reporting process.
- Working in an integrated team to apply effective reservoir management.
- Ensure Regulatory subsurface requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSc or higher in Petroleum Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Solid background in classical reservoir engineering principles and methods, including experience in all the following areas: material balance analysis, fluid characterization (PVT Analysis), SCAL data interpretation, well-test interpretation, well performance, production forecasting, and integrated asset modelling. Broad experience in modern reservoir engineering practices a prerequisite.
- 20 years of industry experience with specialization in reservoir engineering.
- Strong simulation experience (TNavigator, Eclipse) including compositional, history matching.
Skills
- Proficient in industry standard analytical reservoir engineering packages, including TNavigor, Eclipse 100 & 300, Petrel RE, IPM Suite, CMG Suite, Saphir, OFM.
- Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir characterization, production technology and conceptual engineering issues and how they relate to reservoir performance and development planning.
- Operational support experience for gas fields with condensate, including well test design and management.
- Good project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a project team and help contribute to an environment that fosters innovation, continuous improvement, and continuous learning.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-national team environment.
- Strong motivational, planning and coordination skills.
- Must be proactive, self-directed, and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
