Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ a Help Desk Technician for our offices in Haifa, Israel. The Energean Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and other technology-related issues. This includes answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing in-person support to end-users at the company’s assets.
Key Accountabilities:
• Provide technical support: Respond to incoming requests for technical assistance from the users. This could involve diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and advising on how to resolve basic technical issues.
• Document and escalate issues: Record details of incidents and problems, including their resolution. Ensure all support cases are logged accurately and promptly, with timely escalation to senior support staff or relevant internal teams.
• Conduct equipment maintenance: Monitor and maintain the hardware and software used by the company’s users. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks such as installing updates and patches, ensuring software licenses are up to date, and monitoring equipment performance to proactively identify issues.
• Manage IT inventory: Manage the inventory of all hardware and software assets used by employees and contractors of the company. Keep track of all items, ensuring they are in good working order and that licenses are up to date.
• Provide user training: Train users on new hardware and software releases, in order to help them get the most out of the technology and avoid common user errors.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Implement security measures: Work with the security team to implement security measures to protect the company’s networks and data. This may involve installing anti-virus software, setting up firewalls, and implementing password policies.
• Maintain communication: Communicate regularly with the company’s users to ensure they are aware of system maintenance schedules, outages, and new software releases. This involves keeping all parties informed through email, phone
Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience providing technical support.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, and common software applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations as required.
