About this role

Your tasks:

  • Accompanying the creation of single line diagram, earthing overview diagrams, analysing the design requirements especially for equipotential bonding and earthing schemes.
  • Lightning risk assessment and evaluation as per IEC 62305.
  • Establishing design standards for shielding, grounding, and filtering.
  • Working on Grounding, EMC and Lightning Protection for the entire turbine and electrical system.
  • Supporting Engineering Change Order and supplier problem sheets.
  • Knowledge on Quality tools for product development and assessment.
  • Qualification of electrical systems, sub-systems, and components.
  • Extensive collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.
  • You will work closely with the global team of highly qualified professionals. You will also collaborate and have extensive contact with other departments, as various projects are staffed with multi-disciplinary experts in the company.
  • Early contribution to preliminary & critical design and topology reviews
  • Defining and specifying verification and validation activities of electrical systems.
  • Compile technical parameter of electrical components and prepare reports on existing or potential electrical components Development.
  • Collaboration in concept and feasibility studies.
  • Collaboration in agile development teams.
  • Development of comprehensive electrotechnical circuit documentation.
  • Review of circuit diagrams and related documentation.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree with relevant engineering field.
  • Experience in grounding / earthing system & equipotential bonding, lightening protection zones, medium voltage systems.
  • Experience in wind domain should be an added advantage.
  • Experience with standard:
    • IEC 62305 – Lighting Protection Standard.
    • IEC 61439 - Safety requirements for low-voltage switchgear and control gear
    • IEC 60204 – 1 Safety of machinery - Electrical equipment of machines
    • IEC 61400-24 – Wind energy generation systems: Lightning protection
    • Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG.
  • Experience with design of electrical systems
  • Experience with verification and validation of electrical system components including type testing
  • ePlan or electrical CAD experience.
  • Proficient in using PLM tools.
  • Experience in using or desire to learn the required software/tools.
  • Proactive and self – assured.
  • Flexibility and efficient working attitude.
  • Team player but ability to work independently.
