Security & Compliance Administrator

Position Summary
The Security & Compliance Administrator supports mission-critical objectives under the referenced work order by implementing and maintaining security and compliance frameworks across cloud and on-premises environments ensuring adherence to DoD IL-4/IL-5, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 security controls. This role defines and enforces FDMS-aligned policies for data evaluation, ingestion, and cataloging.
Job Description
- The Security & Compliance Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining security and compliance frameworks.
- The position requires conducting security audits, enforcing security policies, and managing security tools (SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, identity management solutions).
- Administrators will ensure compliance with DoD and IC security frameworks.
- The role includes maintaining continuous monitoring dashboards and conducting vulnerability scans.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field; or
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in security and compliance management.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Conducting security audits.
- Enforcing security policies.
- Managing security tools such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and identity management solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with DoD and IC security frameworks.
- Working with tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Nessus.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in security risk assessments, identity and access management (IAM), and continuous monitoring.
- Working knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response.
- Proficiency in zero-trust architecture, security automation, and compliance reporting.
- Strong understanding of Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Nessus.
- Ability to implement NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL-4/IL-5 security policies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Preferred, Not Required)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (Preferred, Not Required)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty (Preferred, Not Required)
Clearance Requirement
- An active Secret security clearance is required for off-site duty location.
