About this role
The best client relationships in
Meetings & Events are not managed. They are led.
For
the largest names in complexe industries such as financial services and
insurance an events program is a business decision as much as a logistical one.
Someone has to see the whole picture: every region, every department, every
dollar spent or repeated. Someone has to turn that picture into a strategy the
client trusts.
That
someone sits at the centre of Encore's Meetings & Events division, in a
role built for a leader who wants real accounts, real stakes, and room to grow
into even more.
About Us
For 40 years, Encore Corporate
Travel has helped CFOs, CPOs, and travel leaders reimagine business travel:
simpler, smarter, and more personal. With 24/7 Traveler Services, proprietary
technology, proactive program management, and integrated Meetings & Events,
Encore delivers clarity, control, and care across every experience. As a
proudly woman-owned, independent company, Encore moves fast, solves harder
problems, and grows with intention, never compromising on the personalized
service that sets it apart. It's what makes Encore the Intelligence Company
that Scales Care.
The Role
This
role owns the commercial relationship for a portfolio of Encore's Meetings
& Events accounts, working directly with the executives who decide where
their programs go next. Most
organizations run events across a dozen departments with no single view of
what's being spent, sourced, or repeated. You bring that visibility, and you
work closely with Encore's operational leaders so every client conversation
turns into something the team can deliver. This
is not an account coordination role. It is commercial ownership of some of
Encore's most significant client relationships, with real stakes from day one.
What You'll Do
Own
the relationship, not just the account.
You are the named relationship owner
for a set of Encore's Meetings & Events clients, accountable for the health
and trajectory of each one. That means knowing the account cold: who the
stakeholders are, what they care about, where the friction points sit, and
where the relationship is headed, not just the next event.
Turn scattered events into a real
program.
Most clients arrive with events
spread across regions, departments, and budget owners. You build a program out
of that: centralized visibility, consistent policy, a clear view of where spend
and volume actually sit. That's the difference between servicing events and
owning a client's program.
Sit across from the people who
decide.
You're trusted with senior
stakeholders such as VPs of shared services, procurement leads, and heads of
communications, understanding what they need next and shaping how Encore
responds. That takes knowing who needs to be brought along, who owns the budget,
and how to position a change so it lands well internally.
Bring Operations in before the client has to ask.
You work directly with Encore's
operations leaders so what you bring to the table is planned for and delivered
properly. When an account is ready to grow or change shape, you flag it early
enough that delivery can plan around it.
Read the pace right, almost every
time.
Knowing when to push a client
conversation forward and when to slow down and secure internal alignment first
is the core of the job. The strongest client relationships are built by someone
who reads that correctly, again and again.
Requirements
What You'll Need
Significant experience owning commercial relationships for enterprise or mid-market accounts, ideally in a consultative, relationship-driven sales environment rather than a transactional one
A track record of growing account relationships through trust and depth, not discounting or pressure
Comfort operating inside complex organizations, including internal stakeholders on both the client side and your own, and the patience to build trust before asking for more
Strong judgment for when to move a conversation forward and when to bring Operations in first
Prior experience in meetings and events or corporate travel is not required. Encore is hiring for commercial caliber first.

Encore hires for commercial caliber
first: the instinct to own a relationship and read a room matters more than a
background in the industry.
Who Thrives Here
The people who thrive in this role
read a room before they read a brief. They earn trust with a VP of procurement
the same way they'd earn it with a colleague: patiently, and without an agenda
beyond getting it right. They know that the biggest wins in this job rarely
look dramatic. They look like an account that keeps growing, quietly, because
someone never stopped paying attention.
If you want
relationships with real weight behind them, and the room to take them further
than anyone expected, this is where that happens.
