Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician to join its Medford team!  The Test Technician I is responsible for performing medium-to-high-complexity tests, identifying failures, and resolving them through component-level troubleshooting, ensuring the product meets required functionality and quality standards. This applies to PCBAs or higher-level assemblies. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform Flying probe (FPT), in-circuit (ICT), or Functional (FCT) tests of basic to medium complexity products. Operate test stations and follow documented procedures
  • Set up basic to medium complexity test fixtures/environments for their use or for test operators
  • Verify the calibration status, if required, of the equipment in use
  • Use electronic test equipment, like DMM, PSU, programmers, etc. to perform assigned tasks
  • Train and support junior team members, as required
  • Troubleshoot to the component level the failures identified by the test operators and other test technicians within the test fixtures or other suitable setups
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and production data

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics preferred (A+ or equivalent)
  • 0–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Understanding of electronic components and circuits, ability to read electronics schematics
  • IPC-600, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools
