Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineering Manager to join our Saline, MI site!

We are seeking a detail orientated Test Engineering Manager who is responsible for leading all test engineering activities in support of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing operations. This position oversees the development, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of production test solutions, including In-Circuit Test (ICT), Flying Probe, Functional Test (FCT), thermal cycling, shock testing, and vibration testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish priorities and manage overall department workload to ensure resources are aligned with business needs
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of customer and internal projects.
  • Support customer visits and technical discussions regarding test strategies and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Strong customer-facing presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, assembly drawings, bills of material, and test specifications.
  • Drive accountability for project execution, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the Test Engineering team.

Qualifications of the Process Engineer: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical roles within a PCBA environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience leading engineering teams or technical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole, and mixed-technology PCB assembly processes.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and circuit board functionality.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT/Flying Probe/Functional Test
