Job Summary
Point associate within mail services / reception team. Coordinate established and new mail routes, and special deliveries/courier duties as necessary. Answer calls into corporate headquarters and route appropriately
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sort, deliver, pickup and process all US and interoffice mail as required for each location.Compile and disseminate monthly A/P reporting. Submit PFR for funds.
Special delivery runs. Look up and redirect misaddressed mail.
Perform daily external mail route and Post Office drop off / pickup.
Operate mailroom equipment and mail van in a safe manner.
Understand, update, and record changing mail stops and mail routes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
(HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Business Experience
(prior years work/related experience)
One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid State Driver’s License
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Technical Qualifications & Skills
Computer and phone operation.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Associate will also sit for periods while answering calls and performing other office orientated tasks.,
Work Environment
Able to take verbal and written instructions, and able to carry out any other responsibility assigned by management.
Must be able to follow written procedures covering such items as mail route delivery, mail stop updates, training, and emergency procedures.
Able to arrive on time for work and some overtime may be required. Corporate office environment with attire being corporate casual.
