Overview
Element Dongtan is seeking a Defense Environmental Test Engineer / Technician to join our military and defense testing operations. This role is responsible for performing environmental reliability testing on a wide range of defense-related products. The position involves test setup, execution, measurement, and documentation, with frequent interaction with customers on a daily basis. Test items include components and equipment used in the defense industry. Working hours may be adjusted throughout the year depending on testing demand.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of environmental tests in accordance with applicable test standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810) or approved test plans
- Thoroughly understand test plans and accurately follow test procedures and acceptance criteria
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and measurement instrumentation
- Accurately record test results, organize measurement data, and prepare comprehensive test reports
- Communicate with customers and provide technical and operational support during testing activities
Skills / Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to operate test and measurement equipment and reliability test facilities (e.g., temperature/humidity chambers, vibration test systems)
- Experience in reliability testing and/or test analysis
- Practical experience operating under ISO/IEC 17025 and knowledge of measurement uncertainty
- Strong English reading skills; preference given to candidates with excellent scores on recognized English proficiency tests
