The Assistant Manager, Finance will be responsible for overseeing finance operations, ensuring timely month-end closing, reviewing accounting deliverables, driving statutory compliance, and supporting accurate financial reporting. The role requires close coordination with the shared services team and business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Closing
Drive month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure adherence to reporting timelines.
Review provisions, accruals, and adjustment entries for completeness and accuracy.
Monitor the closing calendar, track open items, and ensure timely resolution.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding issues.
Invoice Processing & Cost Management
Oversee timely recording and processing of vendor invoices.
Ensure invoices are mapped to the correct Cost Centres and General Ledger (GL) accounts.
Review cost allocations and support accurate cost tracking across functions.
Fixed Assets & Financial Accounting
Review fixed asset capitalization, asset transfers, retirements, and depreciation.
Ensure the fixed asset register is maintained accurately and complies with company accounting policies.
Review accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Intercompany Accounting
Coordinate intercompany billing and monitor timely processing.
Review intercompany reconciliations and ensure prompt resolution of differences.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely settlements.
GST & TDS Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST and TDS regulations.
Review GST reconciliations, input tax credit, and tax-related accounting.
Monitor TDS deductions and support timely statutory filings.
Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during audits and assessments.
Financial Controls & Reporting
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.
Support internal and statutory audits by reviewing schedules and coordinating documentation.
Prepare and review management reports, financial analyses, and closing dashboards.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
CA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com.
5–8 years of experience in finance operations, financial reporting, or controllership.
Strong knowledge of month-end closing, Invoice processing , GST, TDS, and financial controls.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
