This position supports patients throughout the West Houston market, including areas such as Houston Heights and Jersey Village; Katy; Sugar Land and Missouri City; Richmond and Rosenberg; and surrounding communities. Specific patient assignments will be determined based on clinician location and business needs.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines
What is Required?
Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
