Your Role: Sales Intern - US Farm Animal (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 US Farm Animal Sales Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of one of Farm Animal Commercial team (Beef, Dairy, Swine, Poultry, Channel, or Retail) delivering on a highly impactful business project to help elevate the US Farm Animal Commercial organization.
Your Responsibilities:
Define, execute, and deliver on an assigned project within your designated sales territory, working independently while partnering with the broader Farm Animal team
Engage directly with customers through farm and clinic visits, customer meetings, and field activities to understand their needs and gain firsthand experience with the business
Collaborate with sales representatives and cross-functional partners to gather information, identify opportunities, and develop solutions that support your territory and project goals
Analyze customer, territory, and market insights to inform your project, track progress, and develop actionable recommendations
Present project findings, results, and recommendations to relevant Farm Animal Leadership at the conclusion of the internship
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Currently enrolled in undergrad studies in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Agriculture Education (or related studies)
Experience: Experience with farm animal health or livestock or agriculture industry
Top Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, and through presentations. Highly motivated and self-driven, with a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and leadership.

Bring a strong interest and enthusiasm for agriculture
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
Ability to make decisions within the context of uncertainty and ambiguity

Additional Information:
Travel: Regular travel required in conducting customer visits via car
Location: Field-Based – Various locations throughout the United States

Internship Dates: May 17th – August 6th, 2027
Competitive Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)

Housing: Financial support and help securing housing is available
Future opportunities: High-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or additional internships, based on business needs.
