Your Role: Engineering Intern – Elwood, Kansas (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Engineering team at our Elwood, Kansas manufacturing plant, contributing to a hands-on technical project focused on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
Understand the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with different stakeholders to solve problems
Work within cross-functional teams to build vendor relationships and new process capability implementation
Data visualization tool creation/usage and documentation updates
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Prior internship or professional experience in a life-science industry
Have an interest in Engineering or Chemistry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
Additional Information:
Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
Location: Elwood Manufacturing Plant, Elwood, KS

Competitive Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)

Future opportunities: High-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or additional internships, based on business needs.
