Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Develop CNC Programs: Utilize Mastercam to create accurate and efficient CNC programs for parts and fixtures in support of production.

· Troubleshoot and Adjust CNC Programs: Identify and resolve programming challenges during production, making real-time adjustments or developing CNC programs directly at the machine using G-code as necessary to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met.

· Collaborate with Engineering Team: Work closely with engineers to understand design specifications, optimizing programs for manufacturability and production efficiency.

· Conduct Simulations: Perform simulations and testing of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and performance prior to production implementation.

· Document Programming Processes: Maintain detailed records of all programming activities, including revisions, updates, and best practices.

· Support Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives to enhance programming efficiency and product quality, offering insights based on industry trends.

· Train Production Staff: Provide guidance and training to production floor personnel on CNC programs, setups, and fixtures, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

· Engage in Meetings and Training: Participate in departmental meetings and complete necessary training to promote personal and team development.

· Other Assigned Tasks: Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed to contribute to overall departmental success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As a Programmer, you will provide guidance to production personnel on CNC programs and fixtures, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. You will assist in troubleshooting common issues but will refer disciplinary matters to Production Management.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must ensure the accuracy of information and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in a CNC machining environment is acceptable. Proficiency in Mastercam or similar software is essential.

Language skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to convey job instructions and technical information clearly.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and apply the conversions to practical situations.
