Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy, warehouse management, and production-related processes. This position will work extensively within SAP to maintain accurate inventory data, resolve system and warehouse discrepancies, support cycle counting and reporting, and assist Production with material and inventory-related issues. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across Inventory, Warehouse, and Production teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Perform and support cycle counting activities and inventory reporting
- Monitor and maintain inventory, SLED, batch, and material information in SAP
- Research and resolve warehouse and inventory system errors
- Process inventory adjustments, scrap transactions, vendor credits, and E&O transactions
- Manage bin locations and warehouse-related master data
- Support stock reallocations and inventory movement activities
- Maintain packaging and production supply inventory
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory metrics and dashboards
- Review and clear warehouse and inventory exceptions
- Support batch management and material traceability requirements
- Assist Production with inventory and material-related issues
- Support production order confirmations, BOM transactions, and material corrections
- Assist with PCV analysis and evaluation of usable production materials
- Partner with Inventory, Warehouse, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of inventory management experience
- SAP experience required, preferably within Inventory Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and/or Production Planning environments
- Above-average Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to research and resolve inventory and system discrepancies independently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively across Warehouse, Production, Supply Chain, and other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory accuracy programs
- Experience with batch management or lot-controlled materials
- Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
- Experience creating and maintaining inventory dashboards and KPI reports
Language Skills:
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Strong reasoning, customer service, active listening, and good interpersonal skills are required.
