Westview International Language School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Lower Elementary Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing creativity and artistic skills in young learners, creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement age-appropriate art lessons that promote creativity and artistic expression among lower elementary students.
  • Utilize various artistic mediums and techniques to engage students in hands-on learning activities.
  • Encourage students' exploration and appreciation of art through individual and collaborative projects.
  • Assess and document students' artistic development and progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Coordinate art displays and exhibitions to showcase student work.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into a broader curriculum where appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching art to young children, preferably in a lower elementary or early childhood setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques and child development principles.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom culture.
  • Organizational skills to manage classroom resources efficiently.
  • Commitment to student safety and safeguarding policies.
  • Good Communication and classroom management skills.
