About this role

Paris Campus

At EF Language Abroad, we believe that the world is better when people try to understand one another. Since 1965, we've helped millions of students discover new places, embrace diverse cultures, and gain fresh perspectives.

We offer immersive short-term and long-term language courses and programs across different languages in the countries where they're spoken. Through blending classroom-based lessons with interactive exercises and real-world practice, our courses bring you to the heart of the language. Together, our global staff help students from around the world develop the language skills they need to achieve their dreams.

Are you ready for a dynamic role in a truly international environment?

As a Homestay Coordinator, you will be the link between EF and the host families who welcome our students into their homes. You'll spend much of your week on the road visiting families across the region, making sure every home meets our standards — and on Sundays, you'll be at the residence welcoming new arrivals.

*This role includes regular travel across the region and Sunday working for residence check-ins, with a compensating day off during the week.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Host family visits: Complete yearly visits to every host family in your portfolio, managing your own schedule and route across the region
  • Quality checks: Inspect homes against EF's quality, safety and comfort standards, and work with families on anything that needs improving
  • Keeping records current: Update and maintain host family information online so that every placement is made on accurate, up-to-date details
  • Sunday check-ins: Run residence check-ins, welcome arriving students, deliver arrival briefings and make sure everything is in order before they settle in
  • Student welfare: Be the point of contact when issues arise between students and families, with safeguarding and student well-being always the first priority
  • Teamwork: Build strong relationships with families, students and colleagues through clear and positive communication

What We're Looking For:

  • Working fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Full fluency in French (reading, writing, speaking)
  • All additional languages are a plus!
  • Someone who genuinely loves working with people — approachable, friendly, and handles challenges with positivity
  • Comfortable spending a large part of the week travelling between visits
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Thrives in a multicultural team and adapts easily across cultures
  • Availability to work Sundays as part of the regular schedule
  • Driving licence and/or full confidence navigating regional public transport
  • Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a plus!
  • Full working rights in France

  • Free use of EF Hello: a premium Language Learning App
  • Tuition Reimbursement for continued Education
  • Exciting opportunities for domestic and international career advancement within 2-3 years

Company at a glance

Founded in 1965 in Sweden, EF (Education First) is a global association of education companies that share a common mission of opening the world through education.

Some companies are in the business of banking. Others are in the business of shoes. Or sports. Or soft drinks. At EF, we're in a different kind of business. One that's a little less tangible, and a lot more important. Because our business, what we make, makes everything else possible. We're in the business of understanding. Between people. Between cultures.

For over half a century we’ve been the leader in international educational programs and experiences designed to foster such understanding. Through language, cultural exchange, academic studies, and educational travel, we create the kinds of immersive experiences that challenge biases, open minds, and pave the way for a more understanding world.

You’ll find our offices and schools located in some of the world’s greatest cities, and filled with smart, driven people (over 50,000 of us) who push each other to be better every day. But it’s what we do together - building greater understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating a better world - that makes all the difference.
