We’re looking for a Temporary Resource Director to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise and experience to Edelman, helping solve business challenges through thoughtful resource management, talent planning, and problem-solving.
As a Temporary Resource Director, you will support staffing and casting efforts across some of the world’s most iconic brands. You’ll partner with teams and leaders to build strong, effective teams, maximize talent utilization, and ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.
The Temporary Resource Director will help manage and optimize staffing resources, provide meaningful reporting and analysis to leadership, identify talent and capacity needs, and recommend thoughtful staffing solutions across the business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Resource Management, Project Management, client teams, and department leads to coordinate staffing across projects and accounts
- Ensure teams have the appropriate resources and skill sets needed to deliver high-quality work effectively
- Manage day-to-day intake, prioritization, and fulfillment of resource requests across Edelman’s portfolio of clients
- Provide strategic staffing recommendations based on talent capabilities, availability, project needs, and business priorities
- Identify staffing gaps and partner with leadership to develop solutions, including freelance, contractor, or external hiring needs when appropriate
- Manage interdepartmental resource sharing and review capacity to support effective utilization
- Develop strong relationships across the organization to understand talent skill sets, interests, and current workloads
- Maintain accurate, real-time staffing and assignment information within resource and project management systems
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding staffing priorities, challenges, and fulfillment status
- Partner with Resource Managers across the U.S. to identify opportunities for resource sharing and staffing efficiencies
- Analyze utilization, capacity, and other staffing metrics and provide leadership with insights into trends, risks, and opportunities
- Escalate resource and staffing challenges to Resource Management leadership as appropriate
- Help develop and evolve resource management processes, tools, and systems in support of changing business needs
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in resource management, project management, workforce planning, or a related discipline
- Experience managing staffing, resource allocation, or project resourcing across multiple teams or accounts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an agency or professional services environment
- Experience managing resource capacity, utilization, and staffing across multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify staffing trends, capacity needs, risks, and opportunities
- Familiarity with project and resource management platforms such as Smartsheet, PSA, or similar systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and levels of seniority
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to navigate complex staffing needs and recommend solutions
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across disciplines and geographies
- Ability to communicate staffing recommendations, challenges, and next steps clearly to leadership and project teams
- Collaborative, proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to handle sensitive information and conversations with professionalism and confidentiality
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
