As a Manager in the Technology Sector team at Edelman Singapore, you will play a key role in the team, working with some of the world’s largest and most influential technology brands. You will be a trusted day-to-day advisor to clients, developing a strong understanding of their businesses, communications priorities and the rapidly evolving technology landscape. You will lead the delivery of integrated communications programmes, from strategic planning and media engagement to executive positioning, thought leadership and campaigns, ensuring work is insightful, creative and delivers against our clients’ objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Understands clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc.
- Leads research, planning and development of comprehensive Communications Marketing campaigns
- Ability to manage large projects, as well as teams, on multiple sizable accounts
- Demonstrates writing excellence when crafting internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, new business proposals, etc.
- Tracks and monitors project financials (e.g., budget vs. actual) and meets client revenue targets
- Grows account organically by introducing clients to relevant Edelman capabilities, including resources outside of group, to advance their business goals
- Grows network of industry clients and participates in relevant professional organizations and networking activities that will grow Edelman’s brand recognition and own reputation
- Initiates new business process, including identifying new business opportunities and helping lead the RFP response process
- Displays strong presentation skills
- Mentors, coaches and supports all team members and ensures self staff are developing abilities through Edelman Learning Institute and other trainings, including on-the-job training and mentoring
What is required of you
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing
- Superior writing and verbal communications skills, specifically with the purpose of writing to persuade; demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate others’ work
- Understanding of global technology sector trends, with a focus on Asia / South East Asia region and the ability to draw insights from this understanding to counsel clients
- Stays up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrates understanding of how they integrate into Communications Marketing programs
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
