DESCRIPTION
  • Manage vendor team resources and distribute work to meet the program timing.​
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team, making design decisions and ensuring components meet the client's requirements.​
  • Guide material selection and manufacturing technology choices to balance build volume against capital investment, subject to the clients' sign-off.​
  • Track mass and program cost/spend against targets.​
  • Serve as primary point of contact and escalation lead between the vendor team and the clients Lead Engineer/Management team.​
  • Ensure the vendor team operates independently while using the clients Lead Engineer effectively to achieve overall program goals.​
  • Represent the vendor at program gateway reviews and status presentations to the client's leadership.
REQUIREMENTS  
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of automotive or vehicle-systems engineering experience, including senior technical leadership roles.​
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through prototype to production-intent vehicle programs.​
  • Strong working knowledge of structural, mechanical, and packaging integration for exterior/interior vehicle systems.​
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, DFM processes, and component release through PPAP.​
  • Proven ability to manage cost, mass, and timing targets across a multi-workstream program.​
  • Prior experience working directly with an OEM on base-vehicle interface negotiations.​
  • 8 months contract
