DESCRIPTION
  • Perform the registration, updating, and tracking of road test failures for pre-production, zero-series, and prototype vehicles
  • Issue work orders to the various stations (USA-MEX), specifying the activities required to update, verify, and track test vehicles.
  • Participate in regular virtual meetings with the various quality stations around the world.
  • Evaluate the functionality of prototype modules and parts in both domestic and international tests under various weather conditions and on different types of roads.
  • Conduct preliminary analyses of failures in test components and modules to monitor the analyses and measurements.
  • Upload major faults to the KPM system for documentation and submit follow-up reports.
  • Ensure that components (software and hardware) and test modules in prototype vehicles are updated.
  • Verify the ECU software version for each quality assurance project.
  • Download the domestic lists from System and compare them.
  • Conduct functional evaluations on pre-production vehicles for each software update to the control units; depending on the vehicle’s location, the evaluation may be performed in Mexico or the U.S.​
  • Install data logger equipment on prototype vehicles
  • Collect data logger information based on the internal performance of the quality assurance test vehicles.​
  • Upload and distribute data logger information to specialists
  • Update data logger configurations ​
  • Gather feedback from specialists to brief all staff on the current status of the vehicles during weekly meetings.​
  • Communicate part replacements for updating prototype units 

REQUIREMENTS 
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automotive Design Engineering or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems​
  • Communication between ECUs (communication module units)​
  • Driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Fluent English
  • Position for 6 months
