- Develop and maintain detailed right-to-left timelines driving on-time part delivery to Material Required Dates (MRD) across COB,HIL, and vehicle builds.
- Coordinate internal and supplier stakeholders to align on program timing from design freeze/sensor position freeze through Alpha COB and vehicle MRDs.
- Map end-to-end supplier lead times, including quoting, negotiation, PO issuance, DFM loops, tooling, manufacturing, first article review, and shipping.
- Define and document Alpha build manufacturing methodology, balancing cost and lead time against build volumes.
- Maintain a master tracker of all custom parts with regular red/green status reporting on design freeze and sourcing risk.
- Coordinate component/subsystem testing requirements and ensure sufficient parts are ordered and delivered to test locations on time.
- Document deviations from production-intent tooling/materials that could affect test outcomes, in collaboration with test owners.
- Interface with the Car on Bench (COB) team on part requirements and negotiate cost/lead-time trade-offs (e.g., 3D-printed vs. cast/molded parts).
- Initiate and track purchase orders for tooling and parts, and track program spend by PO across tooling, materials, and NRE.
- Verify BOM accuracy in the clients PLM against engineering design intent and ensure timely part release.
- Create and maintain supplier-specific shared drive folders; manage RFQs, DFMs, OK2Tool documentation, and post-OK2Toolchange tracking.
- Hold regular supplier progress meetings to track development status and unblock issues.
- Coordinate consignment of loose hardware subcomponents to primary suppliers as needed to preserve delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Google Logistics on import classification for internationally sourced parts.
- Track and coordinate build-phase deviations (DVs) with manufacturing and material management teams.
- Participate in Clear to Build (CTB) meetings, feeding live supplier tracking status to the core build team.
- Ensure a Design Verification Plan (DVP) is built for each subcomponent and publish monthly dashboards on test status.
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of program/project management experience in automotive or complex hardware product development.
- Demonstrated experience managing supplier timelines, tooling lead times, and part procurement for prototype/low-volume vehicle builds.
- Strong proficiency with PLM/BOM systems (Enovia or equivalent) and PO/spend tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including experience producing executive-level status reporting.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional handoffs between commodities (e.g., harness, cleaning systems, structural framing)
