About this role

This will help you grow:

  • Responsibility for the development and validation of safety attributes in the area of pedestrian protection – from concept phase to series production readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with global legal requirements, homologation standards, and regulatory approvals.
  • Implement consumer protection, rating, and insurance requirements (e.g., Euro NCAP) and develop strategies to achieve project targets.
  • Manage timing, cost, quality, validation, and technical targets according to specifications.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate pedestrian protection testing and derive optimization measures.
  • Analyze safety-relevant test results and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Develop, provide CAx data, validate, release, and homologate components, modules, and systems.
  • Provide technical release recommendation for the development scope.
  • Identify deviations early, define action plans, and escalate to project management.
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers, and present development results.
  • Interface coordination with project management, design, simulation, and testing teams.

This is how you will help us move forward:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in pedestrian protection systems or passive safety development.
  • Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of full pedestrian protection development lifecycle – concept to production.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and rating procedures (e.g., Euro NCAP) preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and MS Office (Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (minimum C1 in both)
  • Structured and independent working style with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle component assembly/disassembly is an advantage.
