Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Returns Associate II resolves operational bottlenecks in the returns processing department by accurately identifying, inspecting, and sorting returned hardware products. This role directly mitigates inventory delays and reduces processing errors by upholding strict quality control, cosmetic criteria, and tracking verification standards. Additionally, this position addresses efficiency and workplace safety challenges by maintaining organized LEAN/5S work areas and managing high-volume product flows throughout the warehouse.

 

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Apply cosmetic criteria to accurately identify, sort, and disposition incoming product models and hardware
  • Maintain department processing standards by verifying tracking numbers and warranty details to support overall warehouse throughput
  • Utilize AI-driven sorting systems and visual aids to rapidly categorize materials and streamline inbound logistics workflows
  • Execute material handling tasks including moving inventory across the returns floor, operating manual or electric pallet jacks, and building packaging boxes
  • Support warehouse sustainability and safety objectives by sorting recyclable materials into proper bins and upholding strict LEAN/5S guidelines

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):

  • Technical competency in operating computer systems, tracking tools, and AI-assisted sorting technology to disposition returns efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to evaluate standardized situations, interpret procedure manuals, and resolve operational variables
  • Demonstrated mathematical capability to perform calculations across all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Critical experience performing returns operations or similar manufacturing/warehouse processes with a track record of meeting quality standards
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interpret safety guidelines and document product information
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to lift up to 45 lbs., operate loaded equipment, and stand for extended periods in a dynamic environment

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 total certifications with at least 1 at Level II

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 year of experience operating computers within a work environment
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with:
    • Warehouse equipment operations, including electric or manual pallet jacks
    • LEAN/5S framework adherence and inventory sorting procedures
    • Basic math and document interpretation in an industrial or logistics setting

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $14.58/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
