Software Engineer
About this role
What you’ll do:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, development, and implementation of an automation framework for our Video Management System (VMS) platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong software development skills, extensive experience in test automation, and the ability to build scalable automation solutions from the ground up. This role involves automating web applications, desktop applications, REST APIs, and device-level workflows while ensuring high quality and reliability across the VMS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Framework Development
Design, develop, and maintain a scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation framework.
Define automation architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
Develop reusable libraries and utilities to support automated testing.
Enable parallel execution, reporting, logging, and environment configuration.
Test Automation
Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
Develop automated tests for:
Web applications
Desktop applications
REST APIs
Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
Video Management System Testing
Automate testing for:
Camera onboarding and configuration
Live video streaming
Playback functionality
Recording validation
Event and alarm management
User and role management
Device connectivity
Camera reconnection scenarios
Multi-camera deployments
CI/CD Integration
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Configure automated execution as part of build and release processes.
Generate automation reports and quality dashboards."

Within the first six months, the successful candidate is expected to:
Deliver a robust and scalable automation framework.
Automate critical VMS workflows across UI and APIs.
Integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
Improve regression test coverage and execution efficiency.
* Establish automation standards and best practices for the engineering team.
Qualifications:
BE / B.Tech - CSE or IT
5–8 years of experience in software testing and automation.
Skills:
Programming
Strong proficiency in C# / Python (preferred)
