Eaton's Power Components Division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor 2nd Shift to join the team at our El Paso, TX manufacturing facility.  This exciting opportunity provides leadership responsibility for all plant activities during second shift operations and serves as the highest-level salaried leader on site during the shift. The role offers broad operational ownership across safety, quality, delivery, cost, employee engagement, and cross-functional manufacturing support.

As part of a growing manufacturing site, this position presents a unique opportunity to help establish and shape a newer second-shift operation. The successful candidate will have significant influence in building team culture, driving operational excellence, and creating processes that support the site's continued growth and long-term success.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment in which employees are engaged, accountable, and self-motivated to deliver results aligned with business objectives.

This role is fully accountable for the performance of the assigned production area, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement.

Unlike traditional production leadership roles, the Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift serves as the primary salaried leader on site during second shift operations. After first shift support functions depart, this position assumes leadership responsibility for all plant activities, ensuring operational continuity, rapid problem resolution, and coordination across all support functions.

The individual in this role acts as the plant's leadership representative during second shift and must be capable of making timely decisions to protect employee safety, product quality, customer delivery, and business performance.

In this function, you will:

Operational Leadership
•    Direct daily production activities including manpower allocation, schedule execution, workload balancing, and attainment of customer demand.
•    Lead multiple production areas simultaneously while ensuring efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
•    Maintain accountability to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory objectives.
•    Drive Tier Accountability processes and ensure rapid escalation and closure of operational issues.
•    Lead execution of Eaton Business System (EBS) initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Plant Leadership & Cross-Functional Support Oversight
•    Serve as the highest-level salaried leader on-site during second shift operations.
•    Provide leadership and decision-making support for all functions operating during second shift, including Production, Materials, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Warehouse, and other support areas.
•    Coordinate cross-functional resources to address production interruptions, equipment failures, quality concerns, material shortages, and employee issues.
•    Ensure business continuity after first shift leadership and support teams have exited the facility.
•    Escalate critical issues to plant leadership when required and ensure appropriate communication and follow-up.
•    Act as the primary incident commander for significant operational events occurring during second shift.

Problem Solving & Decision Making
•    Lead structured problem-solving efforts utilizing RCA, A3, 5-Why, DMAIC and other continuous improvement methodologies.
•    Make independent decisions to minimize operational disruptions and maintain customer commitment.
•    Ensure recurring issues are permanently corrected through sustainable countermeasures.

Accountability & Performance Management
•    Own key performance indicators including Safety, Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Scrap, Labor Productivity, and Attendance.
•    Hold employees accountable to established standards, policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
•    Drive a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and execution discipline.

Team Development & Engagement
•    Build and sustain a high-performing team environment aligned with Eaton Leadership Attributes.
•    Coach and develop direct reports and hourly employees.
•    Ensure proper staffing, training, certification, and succession planning.
•    Drive employee engagement and reinforce Eaton culture during second shift operations.

Safety Leadership
•    Champion Eaton's MESH culture and all applicable safety standards.
•    Lead investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities for safety incidents occurring during second shift.
•    Ensure immediate response and containment of any safety concern.

Administrative Responsibilities
•    Manage payroll, attendance, overtime, vacation coverage, and employee documentation.
•    Maintain accurate records related to performance management, training, and corrective actions.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience managing/supervising teams

•    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that current reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
•    Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
•    5+ years of supervisory leadership experience.
•    Experience leading cross-functional teams.
•    Bilingual in English/Spanish
•    Six Sigma Belt / LEAN Certification
•    Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
