Student Administrative Assistant
About this role
The Department of Poultry Science is looking for a student to assist with administrative and clerical tasks at the Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research & Education Center.
Responsibilities
- Answering the phone
- Receiving, greeting, and directing visitors and students
- Providing general information to the public
- Coordinating shipping, mail, and other delivery services
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of events
- Performing a variety of routine clerical and administrative tasks for faculty and staff
- Serving as a member of a team providing support services and information
Qualifications
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of various office equipment.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
- Must be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.
- Previous experience working in an office setting.
