Position Overview:
Night Aides with the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) support overnight safety and community standards in the Residence Halls. These student staff members provide a visible presence at night, assist in monitoring access to the buildings, and respond to situations in collaboration with professional staff.
Responsibilities:
- Individuals in this position may be expected to complete the following responsibilities, as assigned. Task assignments may vary on a daily basis based on department priorities and operational needs:
- Monitor the entrance and exit of buildings and validate individuals entering and leaving
- Support the safety and security of the Residence Halls in accordance with SHRL guidelines for operating a Front Desk
- Answer desk phone and assist with student and visitor questions
- Complete administrative tasks including documentation, filing, and organization
- Support professional and student staff in daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and daily operations of the department
Additional Notes: Work-Study is not required for this position.
