AY2627 Media/Marketing Assistant - Marketing & Communications (Work-Study Required)
About this role
- Media Relations – daily clip collection and reporting including web updates, writing for the DU Times including Grants and Faculty Spotlights, monthly event releases, and stories and news releases.
- Marketing/Advertising – video transcription, downloading, proofreading & labeling marketing/ advertising materials including both print and digital collateral.
- Social Media – Knowledge of social media trends and best practices. Basic video shooting and editing skills (Adobe Premiere, CapCut or similar program), photography shooting and editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop). Writing and story creation for social media (sometimes including brief subject interviews), graphic design skills. Students may have the opportunity to participate in photoshoots and social media as helpers or as student-subjects.
- Web Content – assisting with web audit, content optimization, basic web updates, good grammar/editing/proofreading skills.
- Office Clerical – billing support, mail distribution, month end processing, Word and Excel documentation, & special projects as needed
- Print Shop – copy/print support - binding, shrink wrapping, and insertion, hand folding and other miscellaneous projects.
- Business, Multimedia, Marketing, Communication or Journalism majors preferred. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
