Great opportunity to work in the prep LAB, ACQUIRE EXPERIENCE IN PREPARING SOLUTIONS, working with laboratory glassware, and learn more about chemicals.
This is helpful in the future for management of labs.

Department: Chemistry & Biochemistry

Duration: Fall and spring 2026 with possible extension into summer

Time: Approximately 15 hours per week for the Fall and Spring semester (work around your class schedule). Summer would be 35 hours per week (if taking less than six credits) or 15 hours per week (if taking six or more credits).

Duties: Assist Lab Administrator to prepare solutions, take out equipment from the assigned list and set up labs every week, get solvents for prep lab and research assistants, complete other assigned other duties: deliver packages on third floor to research labs, acquire solvents for teaching and research labs, work in the stockroom to prepare inventory list (only in summer).

Requirements: Chemistry and Biochemistry majors will be given first priority. However, Forensics, Biology, Pharmacy, PA and PT majors are strongly encouraged to apply. Please note students taking Chem 121L and Chem 122L are not eligible to work due to conflict of interest. Student must be work-study approved.
