At the Danish Chips Compentence Centre DkCCC we are looking for a senior business development manager with interest in developing:

  • New business enablement activities for Danish chips companies
  • Pilot-projects for general chips innovation and growth in close collaboration with other key actors in the Danish and Nordic chips ecosystem.

The Danish Chips Competence Centre (DkCCC) started in January 2025 with headquarter at DTU and a 4-year grant of 57 million DKK. Our goal is to support semiconductor and chip development and fabrication with the aim to stimulate commercialization of chips in Denmark. We are one of 27 chips competence centers (CCCs) in EU, and we work closely with our Nordic and European counterparts. 

The job
In collaboration with local university innovation hubs, the business development manager will be responsible for developing and implementing start-up and spin-out services with dedicated focus on the chip industry. Additionally, it is planned to launch financing and match-making services for the entire chips ecosystem. This will be done in close collaboration with our Nordic and European partners. Furthermore, the business development manager will be responsible for preparing DkCCC strategic initiatives for the implementation of EUs Chips Act 2.0 together with DkCCC partners, business enablers and relevant ministries.Finally, a very important part of the job is to identify and implement new business development opportunities relevant to the Danish chips start-ups as well as the established industry.

Primary areas of responsibility

  • Launching chips spin-out services e.g. by establishing a dedicated mentor network
  • Development of financial matchmaking services for start-up companies
  • Conducting political and international engagements (national authority level as well as EU, NATO, Nordic perspectives) and exploring verticals such as defence, life science, space and quantum technologies
  • Strategic development and possible operational management of innovation and acceleration initiatives, e.g. Danish Chips Accelerator (DCA).
  • Working closely w. our partners (e.g the other competence centers) to constantly develop relevant business enablement services.

Our expectations of you

  • You have a strong commercial and or technical background with a master degree.
  • You have a proven track-record in working in the interface between business and technology.
  • You have experience in pro-actively setting the agenda in strategic and funding related technical and political discussions and to obtain tangible results in corporation and dialogue with a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • You like to invent your own job and drive the process forward in structured and transparent way.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). 

In addition, supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for academic staff employed in technical-administrative positions at DTU (AC TAP): www.inside.dtu.dk/en/human-resources/during-employment/salary/salary-structures.

Starting date is 1 October 2026. The position is a full-time position. 

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.

Open Access

Pending proper training and instructions DTU Nanolab is open to all academic and commercial entities either through partnership or on a pay per use basis.
We operate and maintain advanced processing equipment within 1350 m2 cleanroom facilities. Our suite of 9 advanced electron microscopes allows in-situ study of chemical reactions with atomic resolution as well as characterization of composition and nanocrystalline structure of materials.

Broad Network

Our customer base reaches from small start-up to multinational companies.
We host users and collaborate with most of the Danish and a number of foreign universities. Concerning operation of the facility, user safety, tool access and booking systems as well as user training we have close exchange of best practice with our colleagues in the Nordic Countries (NTNU, Chalmers, ALTO,KTH) as well as other universities facilities such as MIT, Stanford, Tyndall Labs, University of Twente and the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF).
