Job Description:
Responsible for the transportation of students to and from schools and various other District activities in vehicles with a capacity of 14 passengers or less. This position is a driving position that does not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school. Is a positive role model by modeling desirable behaviors—e.g. good attendance, patience, tolerance, and safe driving skills.Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old.
• Frequent lifting of fifty (50) pounds
• Constant sitting
• Frequent overhead reaching/lifting of twenty (20) pounds, standing, walking, squatting, stooping, climbing.
• Ability to clear 42-inch exit door.
REQUIRED: Initial drug screen upon hire; participation in a random drug and alcohol screening program.
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Responsibilities:
--- Perform daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle. Service vehicle as required.
--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Transport and/or assist with monitoring all School District student ridership including special education students with moderate to severe needs and challenging or emotional difficulties on school buses.
--- Report all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.
--- Coordinate with dispatch and scheduling personnel to ensure all required information is current and accurate.
--- Attend training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the District or the state.
--- Administer first aid as necessary.
--- Maintain student conduct that insures the safety of all students.
--- Complete appropriate paperwork.
--- Operate assigned Multifunction Vehicle (MFV) or small school bus (14 passengers or less) in compliance with procedures contained in the School Bus Operator's Handbook, including all local state and federal laws and regulations.

Full Salary Range:
$23.04 USD - $36.83 USD Hourly- All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
