Job Summary

Electronic Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronic control modules. 

Primary Duties

  • Learn & follow detailed work instructions  
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below  
  • Check tag and test unit for failure  
  • Find and review schematic and board prints  
  • Troubleshoot board  
  • Repair board by using test equipment and replacing parts with soldering equipment   
  • Retest to ensure board passes  
  • Keep log of units repaired in CMS system  
  • Participate in various improvement activities  

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers  
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member  
  • Schematic reading and layout drawing reading  
  • Demonstrate proper use of DVM, oscilloscope, tracker and other diagnostic tools  
  • Ability to identify different types of electronic components  
  • Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements  
  • Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function  
  • Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances  
  • Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences   

Education / Experience

  • Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline and/or equivalent military experience  
  • Soldering experience
