Driveline Technician II - Weekend Shift

Job Summary
Perform technical duties related to the manufacturing of driveshafts
Primary Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper PPE as instructed.
- Follow verbal and written instructions with the ability to interpret work orders and dimensional information.
- Utilize production systems via computers, tablets, scanners, etc.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of 1 or multiple assigned work areas, tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform general maintenance on machinery and tools at certified stations.
- Maintain a productivity level above 75% of the shift’s individual goal, unless otherwise directed.
- Maintain a quality yield % of 95% or greater, unless otherwise directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Have good organizational, communication and math skills.
- Intermediate mechanical skills with machinery and tools.
- Basic computer skills including internet and scanning systems.
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Production floor temperature may reach up to 90+ degrees during the summer months.
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years of prior driveshaft manufacturing experience, or 90 days with PTI.
