Customer Service Rep I - Day Shift
About this role
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the complete handling of customer orders and answers technical questions.
Primary Duties
- Fulfill promises made to customers 100% of the time or notify them of changes
- Pro-actively track customer orders to ensure on-time shipping
- Handle arrangements for shipment of product
- Answer phones providing feedback to customers as requested
- Tech line phone support including quality control follow up
- Work with material and production groups as needed to alert customers of potential backorders
- Ability to learn products, multiple systems and customer portals
- Maintain accurate work Instructions as customer requirements or processes change
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Have general automotive parts experience
- Ability to handle complaints regarding unpleasant situations or conflicts
- Customer Service experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Google Docs
- ERP/MRP experience in a manufacturing environment desired
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Customer Service experience desired
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired
