Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at our facility in Buford, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess excellent communication skills and time management. 

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, coordinating domestic and international logistics activity, inventory management, including overseeing the life cycle of all products, from incoming raw materials to outgoing customer deliveries and staff supervision. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

    Understands and adheres to all DOMO safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and others. 

    Understands and adheres to all other DOMO Company policies and procedures. 

    Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate order processing. 

    Negotiates contracts and rates with carriers and service providers to optimize shipping costs. Review quarterly bids and document pricing, shipping lanes and cost savings 

    Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving activities (Domestic and International), ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. 

    Identify opportunities for duty drawbacks and implement strategies to recover eligible duties, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements for duty drawback claims.

    Develop and monitor international routing instructions for suppliers and logistics providers. 

    Manage the customs clearance process and collaborate with brokers for all international shipments, ensuring compliance with tariff regulations and both local and international regulations. 

    Maintain accurate and complete documentation including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. 

    Stay updated on changes in tariffs and customs regulations and implement necessary adjustments in processes. 

    Ensure compliance with government agencies. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues. 

    Manage weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory levels. 

    Manage the labelling and scanning of materials and products to ensure accuracy and material traceability at all warehouse locations. 

    Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the difference in material types (raw materials vs. finished goods, blends, 1st choice vs. 2nd choice, waste, etc.) and all warehouse storage locations 

    Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and various packaging tools. 

    Supervise the Shipping & Receiving team: coaching/training, performance evaluation and disciplinary action, time off and attendance tracking, leading by example, etc. 

    Assists with daily Warehouse and Material Handling tasks when needed · Manages priorities and meets assigned targets per work shift. 

    Understands and adheres to Time & Attendance Policy, reporting to work punctually, minimal unplanned/unscheduled absences and early departures, and reporting for mandatory overtime as needed. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

•    Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics.

    Minimum of 3 years forklift driving experience 

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, customs clearance, and international shipping. 

    8+ years warehouse/logistics management experience in global supply chain and manufacturing environment preferred.

    Hands-on experience in tariffs and customs regulations, duty drawbacks, and international shipping and trade laws.

    Thorough understanding of inventory, warehousing and shipping administration and processes

•    In-depth knowledge of and experience in tariffs and customs regulations, duty drawbacks, and international shipping and trade laws

•    Experience in logistics, warehouse management, customs clearance, and international shipping.

•    Strong leadership and organizational skills.

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

•    Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
